In Taulignan, famous place of the 19th century silk industry, the silk museum and workshop will introduce you to the world of silk thanks to machines still in activity, pictures and breeding of silk worms... An animated story : from the cocoon to the cloth The silk industry: authentic breeding of silk worms Spinning: the unwinding of the cocoon The weaving: crossing the threads Taulignan's "industrial orphanages" With more than 20 silk factories in 1850, Taulignan was the first silk city in Drôme. The Museum is a testimony of the working environment in workshops at that time.
